Then it will scrutinize your content for relevancy. If it’s not relevant, you’ll get ignored often, and your content will eventually slide from the #1 spot fast.

It just means that you have to continue to evolve. Work on good content. Publish a lot of pages, and work with creating something valuable on the web. If you can do that, you are going to see a great push in terms of traffic, ranking and more. Sometimes, the best thing to do, is to publish a lot of good content, and ignore SEO.
